Influence of Automobile Components on Charging Infrastructur

With the rapid development and popularization of new energy vehicles, charging facilities, as an important part of them, have attracted increasing attention. From a technical point of view, the charging equipment of new energy vehicles can be divided into two parts: the on-board part and the off-board part, and the matching degree between them will directly affect the key performance indicators such as the cruising range, safety and charging efficiency of the vehicle.

1. The battery management system (BMS) of electric vehicles has strict requirements for the design of charging piles. On the one hand, it needs to ensure that the battery is in a safe state during charging and discharging; On the other hand, it is necessary to improve the energy conversion rate as much as possible and reduce the loss. Therefore, when building public or private charging stations, we must take into account the differences in technical standards adopted by different brands of vehicles, and choose a high-efficiency charger that can be compatible with various types of BMS systems. For example, Tesla's super charging network is specially optimized for the characteristics of its own products, which not only supports fast DC charging mode, but also realizes intelligent control function through wireless communication.

Second, the on-board charger (OBC) is one of the key components connecting the external power supply and the in-vehicle energy storage device. According to the different power, OBC can be divided into two categories: single-phase AC slow charging type and three-phase DC fast charging type. The former is simple in structure and low in cost, but it takes a long time to fully charge once. Although the latter is expensive and bulky, it can complete the replenishment task in a short time. Therefore, before planning the layout of charging infrastructure, we should fully investigate the actual needs of all kinds of electric vehicle users in the target market and rationally allocate charging pile resources of various specifications and models.

Third, in addition to hardware facilities, software support can not be ignored. With the development of vehicle networking technology, more and more new cars begin to have the ability of remote monitoring and fault diagnosis. This means that the future charging service should not only provide physical interface access, but also develop corresponding APP applications to help car owners check the remaining power information in real time, reserve free parking spaces and even automatically settle fees and other value-added services. This undoubtedly brings new challenges and development opportunities to the whole industry.

To sum up, no matter from the product itself or from the user's point of view, we should realize that there is a close relationship between automobile components and charging facilities. Only when the two achieve a high degree of cooperation can we really promote the healthy and stable development of the new energy automobile industry.
