1. The importance of heat dissipation

2. The main parts that need attention

3. Heat dissipation solution

Liquid cooling: This is one of the most common methods, which is suitable for battery packs of engines and electric vehicles. The cooling liquid is transported to the place where the temperature needs to be lowered by the circulating water pump, and then distributed to the outside air by the radiator.

Air cooling: using forced ventilation by fans or natural airflow to take away heat through specially designed channels. This method is low in cost but relatively inefficient.

Phase change materials (PCM): Some new materials can absorb or release a large amount of latent heat in a certain temperature range with little change in their own temperature, which can be used in short-term peak power demand scenarios.

Heat pipe and heat conducting plate: efficiently conduct heat to other places that are easy to dissipate heat.

4. Design considerations

In the design stage, heat dissipation should be fully considered, including but not limited to selecting suitable materials, optimizing layout to promote airflow circulation, and reserving enough space to install heat dissipation devices. In addition, it is necessary to use computer simulation software to simulate the heat distribution under actual working conditions in order to make more reasonable decisions.
